This beautiful platter is 16" diameter. It was made by piecing individual hand cut diamond shaped pieces of different colored transparent glass into this vibrant star pattern. It was then put into the kiln to fuse together at temperatures up to 1500 degrees. The edges were then cold-worked by hand to create a uniform circle. The platter was then put back into the kiln to be molded into the 2" deep platter form. This platter is a hard one for me to let go!
